“La Condesa de la Loma Grande” – The countess of Loma Grande

 Hi again!

Hope that you are enjoying these legends!

In this time, I was looked up some interesting legends for you, and I found a good one. It happens in a really known neighborhood in the downtown of Quito.

This place is “La Loma Grande” in an amazing and interesting house, look at it…

Have you ever seen it?

Many years ago, there was a beautiful lady, who drove men crazy with her physical appearance. According to some neighbors of that place, her grandparents said that the lady went out on Friday nights to have fun in the bars of the downtown.

Everyone called her “the countess” because of her beautiful appearance. However, the terrifying thing about the story is that each man who began to hang out with the lady, mysteriously disappeared.

The legend said that the men went to her home and were killed by her. Suddenly, the woman left that neighborhood and the new residents of the “Villa Encantada”, which is the name that people put to the enormous house, found several bodies buried in the garden, which they thought were those of the missing men and that tell us maybe that the legend could be real…

What do you think?

  1. Hi Emi! it really is a great story and at the same time terrifying, I do not know what to think, I suppose that after the lifeless bodies found in the garden of that house, investigations had to be made on this.
You really leave me with the intrigue of knowing, what happened? :)

A t this place, it is said that more than 20 years ago there was a “gringo”, one of those militaries who survived the Second World War and he decided to settle in a calm place, where he could forget about the bombings and violence of his life as a soldier. The ex-military man moved to Sangolguí to a big place surrounded by forests, birds and a lot of vegetation. He began to build his house, a not very common one because, it is full of entrances and exits of dark tunnels. After some hours that she did not found the cow, the woman decided to enter to the pot and when she arrived there, the woman found a really big and awesome palace. She did not believe it, but there was a beautiful princess who asked her: -           Which is the reason for your visit? -         I have lost my cow!...
